Holiday Gift & Event Guide Info
Thank you for your interest in our Local Holiday Gift and Event Guide! So excited to be putting this together! The gift guide will promote products and services from women owned businesses in the greater Seattle area that people would buy/use during the Holidays. Also posted in the guide will be Holiday events hosted by lady owned businesses. I really want to encourage people in our community to shop from women owned businesses this Holiday season. We ladies Rock and everyone needs to know about us! The guide is put out by my organization, NW Ladies in Business. We are a support and encouragement group for ladies who own their own business. Cost to post in the guide is $25 per post if you’re a paid member of NW Ladies in Business and $35 per post if you’re a non-paid member. Each post is allowed a 200 word count. You can purchase multiple posts if you have a few businesses that you want to highlight. You can also purchase multiple posts if you have multiple events you want to promote. Ads can include words, your logo, a picture of you and any pictures of your products or services.
I am also looking for a sponsor for the gift guide. If you are interested in having your logo on the top of the guide as our sponsor let me know. Cost for sponsorship is $100. Your logo will be linked to your website and you will be mentioned as the sponsor everywhere we promote the guide.
The guide will go live on November 1st and I will start promoting it over that next week or so.
All posts for businesses and events will be due by Wednesday October 24th so I can have plenty of time to put the guide together. If you are approved to be in the Guide you can send me your posts anytime before October 24th. I will send you a message with guidelines for the postings.
The guide will have specific categories for people to browse as they are thinking about gifts for friends and family. Once I have all the ladies in place for the guide I will create an appropriate category for your business to be in and will let you know how you can find your add.
If you want to be in the guide I only ask that you agree to help advertise it by posting the gift guide flyer on your personal facebook page and/or your business page. You can ask your friends to share the guide on their pages too. You may post it in other places if you wish. The more we get the word out there the better chance of sales for us:)
Here is where I will be advertising the Gift Guide:
- Posted on the facebook page for NW Ladies in Business, 467 members
- Email sent out to all my NW Ladies in Business contacts with a link to the Gift Guide. I have over 593 contacts for our group.
- Posted on over 35 facebook groups that I belong to that relate to lady business owners, seattle parents, local community and selling products. I don’t have a number of members for all these groups but I imagine it will add up to over 5000+ people who will be exposed to the gift guide.
- Posted in Greenlake Moms and Ballard Moms Yahoo groups. Combined these groups have over 5700 moms.
- Posted on my personal Facebook page - 839 friends. I will be asking my friends to share the post on their pages too.
- Posted on all Gift Guide participants personal or business Facebook pages.
- Postcards promoting the Gift Guide will be handed out to all participants and customers who come to our Holiday Shop Local Event on November 17th at the Phinney Neighborhood Center.
- Posted on our NW Ladies in Business website for November and December.
- Posted as a link on all invites for our Holiday Shop Local Event. This includes Evite, Facebook, Eventbrite and Meet up invites.
I am accepting MLM businesses but only one of each kind. So one Pampered Chef gal, one Tupperware gal etc… I already have one gal from Ever and a Pampered Chef gal.
