Business Tips - Taxes


I have always been so disorganized in my taxes over the years and I finally decided to create ways in which I can keep myself organized throughout the year so I don't have to run around finding all my info at the end of the year. Here are a few things I have found help me a lot.

1. I keep a tally of what I make each week and put aside a certain % of that total for taxes. I have to do this for two businesses since I clean and do Ladies in Business.

2. I keep track of my mileage each time I drive for my business. I tally this number each month and put it in a google doc for the end of the year.

3. I have google documents made for all my expenses and as I have an expense I write what it is and how much it was in that document. I have specific documents for each expense: Advertising, internet, office rental, meal expenses etc.. I used to just put all the receipts in an envelope all year and then I had to go through all of them at the end of the year. This saves me a lot of time.
