Connection Network Coming Soon!

Everyone needs something in their life right now to help them thrive, whether it’s for their business or personal life. We are all so busy running our own lives and not everyone can come to our in person meetings or check facebook all the time. So I have created the Connection Network so we can all connect with each other whenever we need to.

My goal for this program is to have a network of gals that I have personally interviewed and vetted so that I can refer them out to other ladies in the group who need their services. This way you get new clients and the other lady gets her needs met and gets to connect with you. Which can lead to more business for you and possibly referrals from her later on. As it gets bigger I will also be referring you out to people who need you in the community not just with Ladies in Business. I will also be offering to connect you with other ladies in the group to collaborate on different projects, find an accountability partner or just connect you with a new friend.

I will be emailing everyone more detailed info on what you get by being part of the network soon:) If you want to go ahead and read up on it you can do so here - https://nwladiesinbusiness.yolasite.com/membership.php

Amanda Schaefer
(734) 323-9093
aschaef23@yahoo.com
https://northwesthealinghands.com

Professional hands-on manual therapy that feels similar to a long, assisted stretch.  This technique is excellent at reducing your pain, increasing your mobility and improving your quality of life so you can get back to the activities you enjoy!

How long have you been in business?
15 years

What made you decide to start your business?
I know the struggle of not being able to fully participate in certain aspects of my life due to chronic pain. Once I understood the fascial system and that everything in the body is connected, not only was I able to receive the treatment I needed to improve, I learned how to self-treat and have found the pleasure and joy of sharing these skills with my own patients.

What do you love about running your business?
I love assisting my patients to reduce their pain and seeing their joy when they share how this has positively impacted their quality of life.
I especially love being able to spend as much time with my patients that is needed versus my employer or insurance dictating the timeline.

What is your favorite product or service that you offer?
I provide Myofascial Release treatments + empower my patients how to self-treat using non-pharmacological pain-relieving strategies.

Where do you live?
Bothell/Mill Creek

Family and/or pets
We have 3 very active dogs...some 4-legged and some 3-legged:) All of them love swimming, hiking and playing fetch all day long!

What do you like to do for fun?
I'm what you call an out-doorsy kinda gal who prefers to be outside most of the day. You will find me taking walks or hikes or even paddle boarding down the river with my dogs, snowboarding or riding my 4-wheeler on the Oregon dunes. There are some days I prefer to be still...earthing in the sunshine and soaking up some extra vitamin D when it's available.

That's all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful April!

Love you all!

The Painted Palace specializes in making parties and events fun and magical! We offer celebrations of all kinds at our beautiful venue in Bellevue, WA or offsite anywhere in the greater Seattle area! Some of our most popular parties include painting parties, birthday parties, paint & sip, crafting, and character entertainment through our Seattle's Princesses division. We also feature a large calendar of public events so you can visit us even when you're not planning a party of your own!

How long have you been in business?
Our company has been in business for 11 years and I took over the company 3 years ago!

What made you decide to start your business?
I worked for the company for quite a few years as an artist and performer and later in a leadership position. When the former owners were ready to move out of state they reached out to me to purchase the company and I was thrilled to make doing what I love into my full time job and to have the opportunity to make the company my own.

What do you love about running your business?
Our business is all about creating memories and making magic and I can't think of anything I would rather do! The past couple of challenging years have reminded me of the importance of being able to celebrate and have fun with the people we care about and I love knowing that our team has contributed to someone's special day.

What is your favorite product or service that you offer?
It's so hard to choose! I would have to say our painting with a princess parties since it combines many of our party offerings! During these parties and events a character will teach a painting step by step and help little ones (or sometimes adults!) create something special to take home. These parties typically take place at our venue and often include specialty decor, tasty treats, singing, games, and more so it really is a little bit of everything!

Where do you live?
I live in the Kingsgate neighborhood of Kirkland.

Family and/or pets
My husband and I have a 10 year old German shepherd and a small 6 year old orange long haired tabby cat who knows he’s the one who actually runs the house.

What do you like to do for fun?
I have always been a dancer and I currently dance with a company called Syncopation Dance Project in my free time. I also love exploring our state and trying out new food, activities, and more with my husband or friends!

That's all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful March!

Years in Business: 18 years

What made you decide to start your business?
I had my mid-life crisis at age 22 (so, really a quarter-life crisis?), quickly realizing that I did not want to be a CPA and wondering why I majored in Accounting. After a few years of living the "ski bum" life in a small Colorado mountain town and trying to figure out life, I decided that real estate was the perfect next career move. I didn't want to sit at a desk all day, I liked numbers, and I liked meeting new people - voila! I decided to persue a career in real estate and never looked back.

What do you love about running your business?
I love knowing that my success or failure is only dependent on one person - me! I also love that every day is different, and often unexpected (for better or worse).

What is your favorite product or service that you offer?
I don't sell homes, I help people. Right now I think the best thing I can offer to home buyers and sellers is a sense of calm in this crazy market. My best and favorite "product" is my 18 years of experience, knowledge, and expertise to help clients navigate this market with the least amount of stress and the most amount of fun (yes, home buying and selling can be fun!).

Where do you live?
Phinney Ridge (Seattle)

Family?
My husband, Gary, and Frank & Myoko - two playful, loving cats who act like dogs.

What do you like to do for fun?
My favorite things are skiing, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and road biking (pre-pandemic I raced road bikes - hoping to get back into that soon!). I love anything outdoors, and most especially anything outdoors in the mountains.

That's all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful February!

Years in Business: 1.5

What made you decide to start your business?
After building my dance studio from the ground up and teaching 400 kids a week for 4 years, when COVID hit, we transitioned to online classes but quickly saw this wasn't as effective as in-person teaching. So we made the bittersweet decision to close it down in June, 2020.

July 2020 Don't Do It Yourself Virtual Assistant Services (DDIYVAS) was born.

I knew how difficult it was as a Fempreneur to find the right support within my business. I struggled looking for Social Media Managers that could speak in my voice and wouldn't leave me having to re-do all the work (feeling like I had wasted my investment). Administrative support was the same, especially for creatives.

While I owned my dance studio, I took it upon myself to learn, learn, learn. From website development to social media, writing copy to email funnels/marketing, systems to graphic creation (and so much more), I knew that having these skills would help me in my business.

It felt inevitable to me that when I closed my studio, I would pivot into using my Diploma of Business Entrepreneurship (and all the skills/knowledge learned) and create a business that supports Fempreneurs with the type of support I wasn't able to find.

What do you love about running your business?
I love being a Business Bestie to my Confidante Bizmates (aka my clients).

I love, love, love using my collaborative strategies and methodology to move the needle forward in my clients businesses.

I get lit up when my Confidante Bizmates feel seen, heard, supported, aligned and authentic within their journey.

And I love having an all female team (that I work extremely closely with on every project) that helps me support my Confidante Bizmates.

I am who you meet with, who you collaborate and brainstorm with, who you communicate with --- my team help me implement!

What is your favorite product or service that you offer?
I love the 1-on-1 collaborative client support. I am also in LOVE with The Confidante Sisterhood --- my new membership launching January 2022 for the Fempreneur who isn't quite ready for that high touch support yet.

Where do you live?
Federal Way, Washington

Family?
It's just my wife and I with our two cats (Squeaky and Yum Yum), two turtles (Stevie and El Jefe) and our tank of misfit fish.

What do you like to do for fun?
I love to cook, read, knit, get outside, and of course DANCE!

That's all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful November and I look forward to seeing all your lovely faces in the new year!

Love you all!

Years in Business: 3 years

What made you decide to start your business?

I was having a hard time finding classes for my son who loves building with Legos but was missing the core concepts about mechanical engineering that are a must if someone is aiming to go into robotics arena.

What do you love about running your business?

The problem solving skills and seeing my students’ happy faces when they finish their build and are able to locate the issues and problem solve.  It’s amazing that kids can be so creativity while learning engineering concepts.

What is your favorite product or service that you offer?

RoboBricks program for students who have graduated bricks challenge. This incorporates learning how to write pseudo code and algorithm and then writing code to make the build work.

Where do you live? Family? What do you like to do for fun?

I live in Seattle with my husband and two lovely children who have been keeping me busy. Older one is in 8th grade and younger is in 5th grade. For fun, we like to play board games, watch movies and cook food. If weekends are not busy with kid’s sport events, we like to travel to nearby hiking places or long walks in parks.

As a sex and dating coach, I love working with women who rock their professional lives but struggle in their intimate relationships, because that used to be me! Until my early 40s, I’d had only had sex a handful of times and felt undesirable, unattractive, and completely cut off from my sexuality. After learning how to do this for myself, I now get great satisfaction helping others rewrite their stories around sex, intimacy, dating, and relationships. Regardless of what your relationship goals are – monogamous marriage, polyamory, more and better intimacy in your current relationship, a single life with lots of dating fun, or anything in between – I’m excited to help you get there!

The Future of NW Ladies in Business

When I started NW Ladies in Business back in 2017 it was to provide a way in which we could come together in person to connect with one another, to create friendships and to provide some business education at the same time. Ever since Covid 19 hit I have been thinking about the future of our group. Since we can’t meet in person I have tried doing the Zoom meetings and those have been alright but obviously not the same as meeting in person.

So I wanted to reach out to you guys to see what you want the group to become in this new social distancing world we are living in. I also want to give you some of my ideas on how we can make the group better. Over the next month I will be sending out emails and posting on our facebook page with questions on our future and what you all want to see.

So here is our first question:

For our monthly Zoom meetings in the fall, what subjects do you want to have the meetings be about. For example: Marketing, Finances, Organizing, Self Care etc…

Do you want just one person to speak and interact with the audience or have a panel of speakers to share on a particular subject?

Should we continue with two meetings per month or just go down to one?

Would you like to be a speaker at one of our meetings? If so please message me and let me know what your business is and what you would like to talk about. I will be lining up the speakers for September, October and November.

I am also thinking about doing a monthly meet and greet meeting where we just get together on zoom and share who we are, what we do and what is going on in our businesses right now. It would be totally casual and just a way to get to know some of the ladies in the group.

In our newsletter there will be a specific section featuring your business. I am holding space for 4 ladies. If you want to reserve a space just let me know.

On our Facebook page all throughout the months of July and August I will be posting every other week asking specifically for Women of Color to share all about their business so we can support them. This will begin every other Tuesday starting July 7th. Just post your business in the thread.

Facebook

Pampered Chef has been the business that changed Eileen’s life. On January 4th 1998, Eileen joined the Pampered Chef to bridge a gap in finances. Twenty-two years later, it is still changing lives, including hers. With the pandemic at hand, cooking has never been more important. Many families have been needing tools, recipes, inspiration and ideas to keep the food on the table.

Eileen has been a consultant consistently over all these years having almost 2,500 shows – live and on-line. She has been bringing real solutions to family mealtime. As a retired dietitian, her expertise goes beyond the tools to the nutrition.  The emphasis from The Pampered Chef is to meet the needs of the population.  Currently on trend are fresh, healthy and fast foods, at home as family meals. The new mission statement for 2017 is “Making Memories One Meal at a Time”. Eating in community is important and at The Pampered Chef it is embraced. Bringing people together to enjoy each other and great food is key.

Working as a Registered Dietitian and going through a budget cut, Eileen was looking for a short-time fix to a need for income. Both boys were at home. Jared 15 in high school and playing basketball – eating them out of house and home. Justin 20 was working but still finding his way and relying on mom and dad for help. Her husband Ben is self-employed and had decided to dabble in art. ANYWAY, the gap needed to be bridged. She loved with process of cooking shows, and eventually the addition of computers to the business changed things even more. Now virtual shows are a popular option.

Using Pampered Chef cooking tools can speed the process of food preparation and make the clean-up easier and faster. Many of the cooking techniques use the microwave for faster food prep. Tools are designed to be used in multiple ways. The Rockcrok line has six different shapes.  These go from the Stovetop to oven, microwave, broiler, grill, and dishwasher. Pick a shape to start your experience and come back for more.

Almost all the Pampered Chef tools go into the dishwasher. When the clean-up is easier the cooking is less of a burden.

Another great part of the Pampered Chef line is the Pantry. Most people under season their food. Eileen offers seasoning suggestions for using multiple pantry rubs and seasoning for the best taste with the least additives. The freeze-dried herbs retain flavor and have little or no salt or sugar added. The flavored oils and vinegar add to the great flavors in marinades, salad dressings and slow cooker meals.

Eileen would love to give you a quick simple recipe to try using the Rockcrok Dutch Oven or Stoneware Deep Covered Baker.

Ever since the virus started I have had these three words in my mind. We Will Rise! We will rise above and beyond whatever this virus throws at us and we will emerge stronger and better than ever before. We will not let this defeat us! We Will Rise!

I have started making copies of the We Will Rise poster and attaching a piece of yarn to is so I can hang it in my house. I want to be reminded every day to think positive right now. I will be making a ton of these and I want everyone in America to get one and hang it in their house or business. We all need to cling to something positive right now and I believe this will help in a small way.

If you would like to reserve a sign for yourself, a family member, friend or to hang in your business just let me know. I am asking for a small donation to help with supplies and shipping. So whatever you can give is awesome! I will also be making more positive signs in the coming weeks and will post them on the site for you to see as soon as I have them ready.

We have a powerful opportunity to take deep ownership of our lives, and the foundation of our understanding begins with self-care. By exploring topics like forgiveness, intuition, fear, nourishing relationships, and thriving in the face of adversity, we are deepening the impact of our individual and collective potential.

The Emerge Thriving 2020 Summit was created by people in our community to provide an inclusive and stigma-free space for people to engage in conversations about mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. People will also feel valued, personally empowered, and less isolated as meaningful connections are created with others who are also making positive life changes.

This summit will be held at the Museum of Flight and will offer 24 sessions in four areas of the museum so that people can navigate freely throughout the event and choose topics that resonate the most for them.

All of the speakers participating in this event care deeply about our community, and since they are vital in this movement for wellness, we are hosting special sessions called "pro-talks," which are designed to ensure that they receive the support they need, too.

Every aspect of this summit was designed to be powerful, truthful, and uplifting so that we can grow together as a community and embrace our powerful potential.

Share this event with someone in your life that you want to empower, and save your seat for this life-changing experience at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, on April 9th, 2020!

The topic of wellness is critically important to me because schizophrenia, alcoholism, PTSD, anxiety, and depression have been pervasive in my family for generations. I know first hand how wellness, or a lack of it, can have a profound and lasting impact on your life.

My business, Emerge Thriving, is dedicated to promoting awareness for mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness. We host events that bring people together in an inclusive and stigma-free space and facilitate up-lifting, truthful, and expert-led conversations about self-care, including topics such as forgiveness, managing anxiety and depression, digital wellness, fear and thriving in the face of adversity.

Additionally, we help health and wellness professionals succeed in business by connecting them with business professionals that understand their unique challenges and can provide effective support and resources.

I am a promoter and producer of happy. SSP brings people together. I have been promoting and producing events for 15 years. As a military spouse I had to find something that I could do that could take around with me all over the world. My husband has been in the Army for almost 20 years. We have three children: 14, 10 and 8. What I enjoy the most is seeing happy people. I love to help out with non profit organization events and to promote them. Honestly I would do all of this free if I could. I put all of my events on Facebook: I produce festivals, vendor events. comedy shows, conferences. I help promote fundraisers mostly. Sometimes I collaborate with other coordinators for very large events.

Not only do I do events I am also a content writer. I am a travel writer- Kid Friendly Europe 101 & Kid Friendly World 101. Last year I won Veteran Business Spotlight from Tacoma-Pierce Chamber of Commerce and I received a Letter of Appreciation from Lacey Costco in the promotion of their military event in November that brought out over 800 military families.

Adding an Exclusive KETO product in Jan 2020

In 2011, Jessica Peyla Nagtalon was sitting with a group of community leaders in a small, rural village in western Kenya. They were concerned about their girls and young women. They knew first-hand what UNESCO had reported just a few months before: ~1 million girls in Kenya were out of school. Only about ¼ of girls in rural Kenya advance from primary school to high school. They must overcome many hurdles -- poverty, early marriage and pregnancy, child labor, cultural values, etc. -- to access the same opportunities as boys. Even the lack of protection and self-confidence during their monthly menstruation keeps many girls away from school. In addition, rural schools in Kenya are overcrowded; they lack electricity and running water and do not have enough learn materials or teachers.

The community’s plea to support girl-child education sparked Jessica to launch the Nasirumbi Education Fund (www.nasirubmi.org) in 2012 with her colleagues from the Centre for African Bio-Entrepreneurship in Kenya. NEF provides high school and college scholarships, learning-support materials, feminine hygiene supplies, and mentorship to promising, but disadvantaged young women so that they can positively shape their futures and their communities. NEF also hosts annual health and guidance workshops and HIV/Aids testing for the entire student body.

Former First Lady and champion for girls’ education, Michelle Obama, said “Educating girls doesn’t just transform their life prospects – it transforms the prospects of their families, communities, and nations.” Since 2012, NEF has supported 17 girls (Freshman through Senior year) at Busijo Secondary School near Lake Victoria. Four have completed college or university programs. One of NEF’s graduates recently wrote: “I want to appreciate Jessica and all NEF supporters who have supported me through my secondary studies and my undergraduate degree. May God reward you all abundantly for making my dreams turn into reality.”

Jessica resides in Ballard with her husband and their 6-year-old son. She is passionate about making the world a better place for future generations and experiencing the world through travel.

The Magic of Forgiveness Workshop with Brenda Reiss
November 16, 2019 9:30am – 4:00pm
Redmond, WA *Includes lunch*

You have the power to set yourself free with Radical Forgiveness.

You may not believe that now. But I do, even if we’ve never met.

All you need is the desire to change and a willingness to learn.

Past participants have entered this event from a life burdened with fear, regret, sorrow, guilt...and so much more. When they left, they stepped into a life filled with light and joy.

And that’s the beauty of this forgiveness process. Because no matter where you are today (and you may be in a dark place), it’s possible to be in a different place tomorrow (and stay in that happier place the rest of your life).

If you’re ready to say goodbye to the dark and hello to the light (and I hope you are!), I invite you to make the shift that will transform your life.

Let’s spend a day harnessing the energy of forgiveness. And let’s say goodbye to pain and suffering.

What if you could:

Be in control of the forgiveness experience?
Set the stage for the emotional miracles you need?
Free up energy for the important things in your life?
Free yourself of old chains, life-sucking grudges, and negative emotions?
Move past your blocks ... in a single afternoon?
Clear the emotional decks before the holidays?
Create a truly extraordinary life?

I know that you can achieve these things – and more – by learning how to harness the power of Radical Forgiveness.

What are you waiting for? Register for this special event and take the first step today.

Shanyn Emerson ~ Holistic Movement Coach

Hi, I’m Shanyn, a holistic body/mind movement coach and studio owner.

I’m also a life-long learner that is fascinated by the body, brain, nervous system, breath; and how all of those affect our movement, stress, chronic pain, and aging.

My use of a variety of holistic techniques with clients bridges both movement and nervous system allowing me to help them connect the pieces of their personal puzzle.

However, it’s not just what we can accomplish during their session that excites me, but the lingering benefits that they feel for days and weeks later.

“Thank you for the session yesterday, it made me calm through the whole day. A few conversations came up that would normally send me into an anxious state of existence, but I was able to stay calm and be ok.” -Ellen

If I didn't know how hard she has worked and trained to do what she does, I'd swear she was a magician.” -Toddie

I was living a life in pain until I met Shanyn. I’m finally to a place in my life where that pain isn’t controlling my everyday life!” -Trishia

Jennie Helman is the co-creator of Lugabug. As a mom of 3, she’s a seasoned traveler, entrepreneur, HR consultant, and the bassist of the Seattle kindierock band, The-Not-Its!

When their first two children were 2 and 4, Jennie and Jon Helman attached a car seat to a suitcase. This travel-style-easy-chair meant the then-pregnant wife Jennie could rush through the airport and not leave her child (or coffee!) behind.

A few years later Jennie and Jon were rushing through the airport at 5 a.m. with one of their three children strapped into an earlier version of Lugabug. Five men in business suits saw them. "One guy says, 'Now that's a good business idea, pointing to the makeshift prototype’ Jennie recalls. "We looked at each other and said, 'Oh yeah, we should do this.'" And voilà: A solution to the chaos of traveling with kids was born.

Meet Lugabug. A child’s travel seat that secures to luggage – creating the experience of fun, safe and efficient transport for kids. It’s a collapsible, economical and multi-purpose family travel accessory for quality-conscious buyers who prefer a compact product that minimizes their load – not adds to it – and reduces chaos while traveling.

We all strive to look our best. There are unlimited beauty products available today. One thing for sure, most of us have experience with wanting longer, more beautiful lashes. And now we can easily have them with Tori Belle Cosmetics and their patent-pending magnetic liner and lashes invented by Laura Hunter right here in Seattle. Until TB, the only real options were false eye lashes or lash extensions which can be pricey and cause allergic reactions.
Also who doesn’t love to sparkle! I had no idea Touchstone Crystals by Swarovski were so incredibly beautiful, sparkly and reasonably priced.
Now, a little lipstick, a little lashes, some sparkling crystals and I’m off❣️
Its like frosting on a cake, with a bunch of cherries on top with a side order of confidence to boot ❤️
It literally takes 5 minutes to completely change your look and outlook because you feel better and more confident.
If I can do it, you can do it.
We have a wonderful community of women (and men) who lift us up and lock arms with us. I’m on a mission to help women feel and look their best❤️

FB Group: Seattle Area Parents - College Admissions Discussion

I am an independent college admissions advisor in the Seattle area. I work with high school students and their families locally and throughout the country helping students find the best academic, social, and financial fit colleges to apply to. I guide students through the application process and help them present their best selves in their applications.   I educate families on the financial implications of their choice of college and work to find schools where students are likely to receive generous merit aid when families can’t afford to pay full tuition. I also help students navigate the financial aid process and apply for scholarships.

I am a member of HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association) and IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association) and adhere to the strict ethical standards of these organizations. I attended Northwestern University where I earned a BA in Economics and an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management. I served as an alumni interview on the Northwestern University Alumni Admissions Council for over 15 years. I completed the Independent Educational Consultant program at the University of California-Irvine and regularly attend professional conferences and visit campuses nationwide to stay current on trends in college admissions.

I know how stressful the process can be and how complicated the process has become and I love helping high school students navigate the process and find programs that are perfectly suited to them.

I am an educator, a mother, a partner, a scholar, a woman, a business owner and so much more! I love connecting one on one with my friends over a cup of coffee. I love having deep conversations. I love playing outside. I love being spontaneous and I LOVE laughing! As a woman over 40, I have been serving children and families for more than half my life I still love every moment of it! My goal is to help other parents have the same passion for life! As a parent coach, I work with parents from all walks of life and many different cultures.

As parents we are influenced by family, culture, neighbors, friends, social media, and so much more. For many parents it is hard to admit that they are struggling. We live in a culture that moves quickly and shows the best parts of ourselves, leaving real struggle to be pushed down or forgotten. Sometimes those struggles are small and simple and sometimes they are huge, but they are ALWAYS real and they deserve to be heard and noticed.

As a parent coach, I give parents a platform to talk about their struggles and a way to work through them. In my work I focus on the parents. We talk about their struggles with their children, we address their struggles with their children, and they see real and lasting results. But this all begins with them. After all, true and lasting change begins with ourselves.

When I work with parents, we work together to focus on what is working. We look at the positive things, no matter how small and we build from there. Captains say that 1 degree can dramatically change the course of a boat on the water; the same goes with parenting. We as captains make one, tiny, degree of change in our course and it dramatically changes the trajectory of our children’s behavior.

At Confident Parent, we work together to find that one degree, that one thing that parents can do to change the direction of their children’s lives forever. The blessing comes as they see there are many opportunities to change, and the positive outcome in their children’s is limitless. The overwhelming consensus for parents, after going through the coaching process, is while some of the changes they made were hard, they would do it over and over again because in the process of helping their children, they found themselves again.

Hello! I'm Stephanie, Ring Master of the #3RingCircus over at Essentially Nerdy Family. My husband is Peter and we have 3 kiddos, ages 6 and under. I am super passionate about empowering people to use essential oils and plant-based products to be healthy in body, mind and spirit.

So maybe you've been hearing all the fuss about essential oils? Maybe you've been wishing you had time to do a ton of research or have a way to learn what on earth they can do and how you could use them? Maybe you're scared of using oils on their own, but you want super safe and effective products you can use around your home, in your personal care, in your supplements ...

I want to teach you what oils are, how they're made, why quality is important, what to look for in quality, how oils work with your body, what oils can do for so many of your body systems, how to use oils, what kinds of oil-infused products are available ... I want to give you new tools in your toolbelt on your road to whole-picture health. I want to connect you with a community of people who are all working toward those goals, sharing what they've learned together, cheering each other on. You're worth that investment!

Anytime is a great time to enjoy Pampered Chef.

As a dietitian, it has been a perfect fit to cook with and help customers and guests acquire tools that make cooking and serving food easier and enjoyable.

I would love to help anyone who cooks, who eats, who entertains, who gives gifts, who is getting married, who is getting divorced, who is graduating from school and moving into new place, who needs to downsize with less but great quality tools that last, or anyone who just loves Pampered Chef.
My Goal for 2019 is to continue providing great service. And I am working to earn a trip to Disneyworld for my granddaughter. Any and all support to reach that goal is appreciated.

Ladies that Rock!

Women For One’s Truthteller Tour is an empowering event of celebrating and giving voice to women's experiences: stories of triumph, devastating loss, and everything in between. It’s an opportunity for women to own their stories—and their lives. It’s similar to community-centered events like TEDx, except it’s more like the proverbial campfire around which old and new friends can gather, talk, and share—with vulnerability and heart. It lets women step up, speak out, and shine, which is Women For One’s motto for the Truthteller Tour.

‘While the current atmosphere around bringing women’s stories of abuse and violation into the public eye is tremendous, we at Women For One celebrate the full spectrum of our experiences: from the quiet epiphanies and moments of wonder to the major breakthroughs that come from experiences like divorce, moving to a new country, finding one’s purpose, and using one’s power for the greater good,” says Kelly.

Women For One has been producing successful Truthteller Tours around the nation. From Boulder to Atlanta to Mississippi, the organization is quickly gaining momentum and garnering interest from corporations, organizations, and universities. Their April 2019 Pacific Northwest Truthteller Tour in Kirkland, Washington follows on the heels of their inaugural Your Messy Brilliance® retreat: an intimate weekend of workshops, storytelling, and building sisterhood and opportunities to create community and collaboration.

“The sisterhood that women experience during a Truthteller Tour (and that we know they’ll feel during our retreat) connects us in a powerful way,” Kelly says. “We have to remember that our stories are powerful. The ones I’ve been witness to during our events encompass love, loss, and the power of connecting with our deepest truths; these are stories that are by turns hilarious, heartbreaking, and brimming over with hope. They inspire us to take the kind of action that permanently transforms our lives, communities, and the world.”

To find out more about Women For One, visit our website, womenforone.com.

Scoop Marketplace, a zero waste grocery store

info@scoopmarketplace.com, www.scoopmarketplace.com

In 2019 I am opening a zero waste grocery store where customers bring in their reusable containers to fill with as much or as little as they want of a wide variety of package free food and home goods. By reviving the simpler shopping methods of generations past, we are significantly decreasing our environmental impact while also saving our customers money. As I continue to sort out details for a permeant location, I am doing occasional pop-up shops where I sell reusable products to replace items that we have become accustomed to throwing away, including water bottles, handkerchiefs, shopping bags, unpaper towels, washable sponges, and glass straws. I also sell books that support sustainable living, plastic-free hair ties, and a small selection of bulk items such as tea, spices, Epsom salts, laundry and dishwasher detergent.

Scoop Marketplace will be a gathering place in the community where people come together to learn, share food and ideas, and bond over similarities in values, lifestyles and food preferences. I am excited to use Scoop to showcase some of the best products that the PNW has to offer. There are so many creative and hard working people here and we can find pretty much anything we need or want locally. I am happy to support local artisans and producers and cannot wait to bring these high quality local products to our customers. By choosing to be a Scoop supporter, you are voting for healthier food systems, a cleaner planet and a strong community of people who prioritize the common good. I know that the Scoop community will play a foundational role in this social movement as we shift towards sustainability. We are going to change the world!

Wyndium RE Group

I love what I do and how I do it!

It’s all about the client. It always is.

My continuous goal is to create more value for them by offering more, and with that they have a better overall experience and increased knowledge of their own decision-making process.

I own an education and investment advisory-focused, full-service real estate group that does business entirely differently than everyone else.

As a fully licensed real estate agent, I practice in all residential and commercial fields (there are more than you may think!), and through that extra knowledge I understand the business and the residential side equally, so I can offer better specific advice on whatever my clients are looking to do.

Real estate is an investment, the largest investment most people will make, so treat it as such!  I can provide advice on where the city is developing, where the jobs are going, so you can better predict where your home will worth the most in 5, 10, or 20 years.

With my unique background in business, corporate sales, and construction management (I actually built and remodeled homes and offices, so I know what I’m looking at) I can offer more comprehensive advisory service than my peers that is relevant to buildings themselves.

And I’m not in a hurry.  I invite my clients to have dinner with me; I invest time to learn about them and provide them all the necessary information to make smart, predictable, long-term investments and homes for their families.

Information is power.  I empower you to make the best decision for you!

Send Girls to School this Holiday Season

There are many worthy causes to support this holiday season.  One that will have a lasting impact is sending girls to school. Socio-economic challenges keep many young women around the world from finishing school and reaching their full potential. NW Ladies in Business Member, Jessica Peyla Nagtalon, founded the Nasirumbi Education Fund (NEF, www.nasirumbi.org), which improves access to education for girls by providing scholarships, learning materials, counseling and workshops.  This holiday season, NEF's goal is to sell 50 T-shirts by December 11th. By purchasing a colorful NEF T-shirt, you will help NEF gain exposure and raise money for their scholarship program in rural Kenya. If you prefer not to buy a T-shirt for yourself or a loved one, please consider making a financial contribution or donating a T-shirt for one of NEF's students. Each T-shirt is $25. Orders can be placed by clicking on the following link: https://customink.com/fundraising/nasirumbi-education-fund.

Join our sister Facebook group page "Fans of NW Ladies in Business". The idea is to highlight one of our ladies each day on the page. This group is for our ladies to hear about and support more ladies in the group and for the entire community to see how awesome we are and to start supporting local women owned businesses. I am in the process of inviting all of our current NW Ladies in Business ladies and my facebook friends and family. I highly encourage you to join the group and to start inviting all of your friends to join too. The more supporters we have the better. This page will be public and anyone can join. I will be posting our community events here too so that you can share them. Thanks for helping get the word out about the page!
https://www.facebook.com/groups/957162577817251/

On Monday's you will get to post to the community about your upcoming events and on Fridays you will be able to share any promotions you have going on. It will be a great way to get the word out about your business to our whole community!

Ladies that Rock!

Lindsey Jackson

I remember thinking that I wasn’t doing enough. I’d been working with clients one on one for twenty years, but it wasn’t enough. The change I wanted to see in the world would require something bigger than me. For a while I felt like I was flailing. I was fighting with my own feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt, while also trying to figure out a business model that would allow me to have 10X impact. My goal was to make health and wellness accessible to ALL women, not just the ones that could afford $200 yoga pants and weekend retreats to Hawaii.

Since I couldn’t just drop everything and go “find myself’ for nine months, I started interviewing other women who were feeling like I was. I wanted to know what they read, what they watched, what products or health modalities actually worked, and didn’t cause harm to women in the long-term. Once I started sharing my insights, well, the whole thing started to take on a life of its own. And in the process, I stumbled upon the peace I had been searching for in my own life.”

Hezalia is a movement, a website, and an online community created by women, for women. The Hezalia platform and in-person events feature stories and advice, product recommendations, and a user forum aimed at empowering women's health, wealth, and influence. You want to find a therapist that specializes in women’s sex issues? We got it. Are you a woman-identifying inventor who wants to launch your newest product on a platform that is run by women for women? Hezalia wants to spotlight your incredible self. And oh, would you like to borrow our big ass hammer to smash through those glass ceilings with? We’ll help you swing it, Babe.

Hezalia is still in its infancy but in less than four months, we’ve managed to launch the online platform, a media station for woman-made health content, Hezalia.TV, and the first of our three annual events, #enlightenedAF – A 2-Day Workshop For Rebellious Women, will be of epic proportions this January.
